Who Benefits from the Durham CROP Hunger Walk

Durham CROP Hunger Walk donations are used to support hunger alleviation programs. Money raised is split between two organizations. 75% goes to Church World Service and 25% stays in Durham County and is used by Durham Congregations in Action (DCIA) to help our neighbors in need.  In order to best serve the most vulnerable in our county, DCIA then allocates the 25% to fourteen hunger fighting agencies in Durham. Church World Service works with partners to eradicate hunger and poverty and to promote peace and justice around the world. Together we reach out to neighbors in need near and far–not with a hand out, but a hand up.

 

 

Who Benefits from the Durham CROP Hunger Walk? 25% stays local with DCIA to help our neighbors in need.

 

 

DCIA is a cooperative, multi-faith network offering care and support for the most vulnerable and forgotten in our community, and planting seeds in new initiatives to change lives in Durham. Its mission is to bring together congregations to promote understanding across boundaries of faith, race and ethnicity and build an inclusive community of justice and peace.
